NEIGHBORHOOD INNOVATION CENTER RECEIVES $50,000 IN STATE FUNDING (Archived)
Neighborhood Innovation Center (NICstl) receives a $50,000 ARPA grant from the State of Missouri to include ADA restrooms and enhancements to its community engagement space to support its entrepreneurship program in Dutchtown.
In the same press conference held on Tuesday, July 6th, Incarnate Word Foundation (IWF) announced the allocation of state funding of $100,000 for youth development, Dutchtown Opportunity Coalition for Youth, or DOCY, to Employment Connection, an established regional 501c(3) nonprofit organization and another ecosystem partner of the Neighborhood Innovation Center,
Nearly 50 people from a broad spectrum of Dutchtown’s community ecosystem attended the press conference, including Dutchtown Main Street, Dutchtown Community Improvement District, Dutchtown South Community Corporation (DSCC), Gene Shay’s Girls & Boys Club, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Anthony’s Food Pantry, Thomas Dunn Learning Center. Mayor’s Office and state elected officials also attended the event. Mayor Office’s Wilford Pinkney (Director of Children, Youth, and Families), 78th District Mo. State Representative Rasheen Aldridge, 81st District Mo State Representative Steve Butz, and Senator Karla May, District 4, are also present at the event.
Baked Raven and Crepes & Treats provided catering, members of Urban Eat Shared Kitchen, and Food Incubator in Dutchtown.
